COURT JURISDICTION The court has jurisdiction over misdemeanor and traffic offenses committed within its geographical boundaries and civil cases in which the amount in controversy does not exceed $15,000. In an average year 30,000 of these type of matters will be handled through the Court. Our Court serves over 160,000 people living in northeast Summit County, including the communities of Boston Heights, Boston Township, Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson, Macedonia, Munroe Falls, Northfield, Northfield Center Township, Peninsula, Reminderville, Sagamore Hills, Silver Lake, Stow, Tallmadge, Twinsburg and Twinsburg Township. EDUCATION The Court is pleased to provide school children from all over the jurisdiction with a chance to visit and participate in court activities. Please contact the Court Administrator for more information. COURT OUTLOOK Over the next few years the Court will be working very hard along with the Clerk of Courts office and the City of Cuyahoga Falls to update and modernize the entire operation of the Court with input from all of the communities we serve. The Court is committed to expanding and improving services of all kinds and dedicated to being cost-effective and safe. To this end, several projects are already underway with minimal or no costs to our taxpayers. Some of these projects include: Computer Expansion and Upgrade Probation Services Expansion Security Improvements Building Improvements In-court access to Bureau of Motor Vehicles officials
